A Banff native, Tom was born 12 October 1943 and joined the Army as a Sapper in the RCE. In September 1972, Tom re-mustered to the PTS and served in Chilliwack and RRMC where he retired on 15 August 1980. He then worked as a realtor until 2000, when he moved to San Jose del Cabo Mexico, where he lives six months of the year. The other six months he lives in Victoria. Baja Vacation Man "Tom" aka "Bowser," fell in love with San Jose in 1986 and has visited her every year since. In the fall of 2000 Tom hit the road, Baja bound once again - this time to make San Jose del Cabos his home. He still maintains and could be the poster-child for "There's No Life Like It." After this, and still in Victoria, he spent a number of years in the restaurant and real estate industries. Now known as Baja Vacation Man, he has traded in his aprons and suits for "Baja Baggies" and golf gear. He represents and promotes several quality condos in and around San Jose del Cabo. So, when you are looking for a great affordable accommodation on your Los Cabos holiday look to him first. As with Tom's new-found love, Los Cabos he says, "There's No Life Like It"
